Become a Direct Support Professional and help support Maine adults with intellectual disabilities. DSP’s help people perform activities of daily living, remember their medication and stay safe. DSP’s may work in homes or in community support programs.
Paid Training Opportunities: You don’t need experience to be a DSP. To prepare employees for this rewarding work, we provide extensive paid training. New staff attend a 45-hour course to earn Direct Support Professional and Certified Residential Medication Aide certification. Employees are also certified in CPR, First Aid, and the MANDT System. All training, except for CRMA courses, is hands on and taught by SKILLS, Inc. staff based on their real-world experience.
And while great DSP’s are always in demand, see below for other opportunities to join the SKILLS team.
